    HOW DO WE HELP?

    The most recent significant change to the accounting landscape in recent years is the introduction of Making Tax Digital (MTD) for Income Tax in 2026. For many clients, including Peter Pan Playgroup, this was an unnecessary headache. Where we previously simply prepared an annual set of accounts and tax return we the client was now expected to maintain their records in MTD compliant software and submit quarterly updates to HMRC alongside the final submission, essentially the old tax return. With a busy day to day business to run, MTD was an unwanted headache. However, by preparing early we were able to get everything in place well ahead of the MTD commencement. We have offered two options for clients to ensure clients who want to continue to manage their own records are able to do so, but also a fully managed option for those clients who do not want the additional hassle that comes with MTD. This allows these clients to continue to run their businesses, happy in the knowledge that these new challenges are being handled by experts.

    Preparation and submission of the Confirmation Statement

    Alongside the accounts and tax returns, all companies must file a Confirmation Statement with Companies House each year. The provides details of the officers and shareholders of the company as well as other non financial information. This is a legal requirement and if not submitted can lead to the company being struck off.
